Close study of a white floral urn arrangement beneath crystal drops

The Anayat Journal · Issue in progress

The art ofextraordinary celebrations.

Ideas, inspiration and craftsmanship — recorded from the production floor in Lahore, where the ladders, the flowers and the kitchens actually are.

Editor's note

We started writing because the same conversations kept happening across a table at the farmhouse — about light, about timing, about why the flowers arrive at four in the morning.

The Anayat Journal is where those conversations are set down properly. Not advice borrowed from elsewhere, and not a catalogue of our own work: craft written by the people who carry the ladders, taste the trials and stand at the back of the room while a family walks in for the first time.

Read it slowly. Everything here was learnt on an actual evening, in an actual room, in Lahore.

How to Plan a Lahore Wedding Week Without Losing the Month Before It

Four functions, three families, and fourteen usable weekends in the season. The timeline we actually work to — written plainly enough that you can hold us to it.

Departments

Read by the thingyou are deciding.

Four departments, each edited as its own small publication.

The letter

A few letters a year, sent when there is something to say.

Season notes from the studio: what is blooming, what is being built, and the dates that quietly disappear before most families start looking.

Four or five letters a year. Written by hand, never sold, never shared.

From reading to building

Bring the inspiration to a table with us.

Every piece here began as a real commission. If something you have read belongs in your own evening, tell us the date — 4 departments of thinking arrive with the planner.
