The area
Cantt and the Askari societies have a culture of their own, and celebrations reflect it. Punctuality is not aspirational. Guest lists are structured. Seating carries protocol. The evening has a shape everybody in the room already understands.
The venues match that temperament. Officers' messes and garrison clubs are among the most elegant interiors in Lahore — high ceilings, disciplined proportion, dark wood — and they reward a restrained design far more than a maximal one.
Access, meanwhile, is governed rather than negotiated: vehicle passes, personnel clearance, fixed start and finish times, no exceptions on the day.
Our experience here
Our team works within these protocols regularly. Crew identification and vehicle documentation are submitted well ahead of the load-in date, and the run-of-show is written to the minute because it will be held to the minute.
Design-wise, we treat these rooms with lighting and florals rather than heavy structural overlay. Building a large set inside a mess usually diminishes it; the room is already the best thing in the room.
