Colourful mehndi stage with jharoka arches, marigolds and floor seating

The loudest night

Mehndi Planning

Colour, floor seating, marigold by the kilo, and a dance floor that has to survive four hundred people.

The mehndi is the one night nobody wants restrained. It is loud, saturated, cross-generational and completely uninterested in a seating plan. Designing for it means designing for movement.

The experience

We build jharoka arches and mirror-work screens, hang marigold and gota in volume, lay floor cushions with real back support, and place the dance floor where the sound carries without deafening the elders.

Food runs continuously rather than in a single service — chaat counters, live grills and dessert stations open across the evening so nobody has to leave the floor to eat.

The mehndi was chaos in the best way, and somehow the marigold was still fresh at one in the morning.

How mehndi planning is planned

  1. 01

    Inquiry

One conversation, no forms. We listen for the evening you keep describing.

  2. 02

    Concept

A written direction: palette, materials, light, the emotional arc of the night.

  3. 03

    Design

Elevations, floral schedules and a lighting plot — issued, not improvised.

  4. 04

    Execution

A rehearsed run of show, held by the planner who read your first message.

  5. 05

    Celebration

The part you are allowed to forget about entirely.

Mehndi Planning,answered.

Yes. Residential mehndis are a specialism — we work around access, neighbours, parking and a fixed sound cut-off time.

We coordinate both, along with a choreographer if the families are preparing performances.

We plan to the local sound regulation for your area and design the last hour so it winds down rather than stops abruptly.

Common questions, answered plainly

What mehndi planning involves

What is mehndi planning at Anayat Events?

Mehndi planning covers the design and production of the mehndi function — colour-saturated sets, marigold installation, floor seating, sound and dhol — designed around movement rather than a fixed seating plan.

Who is mehndi planning suited to?

Families expecting a loud, cross-generational evening where most guests will be standing, dancing or seated on the floor.

How does mehndi planning work in practice?

We design the dance floor and sightlines first, then build jharoka and mirror sets around them, install fresh marigold on the day, and plan sound so the dhol works without drowning the room.

When should mehndi planning be booked?

Six to eight weeks is workable for a standalone mehndi; longer if it sits inside a full wedding week.
