The area
Ferozepur Road is where a very large share of Lahore's weddings are actually held. The stretch from Kalma Chowk out past Gajjumata carries marquee after banquet hall after hotel ballroom, and for families across the south of the city it is the default answer to where the function will be.
Planning here has less to do with neighbourhood character and more to do with the road itself. It is one of the busiest corridors in Lahore, it is perpetually under one phase of work or another, and the Orange Line runs its length. Guests do not arrive when the invitation says. They arrive when the road lets them.
So the plan has to absorb that. We do not design a Ferozepur Road evening that depends on four hundred people being seated at the same moment, because that moment does not exist on this road.
Our experience here
The first thing we do for a Ferozepur Road function is establish the real arrival curve rather than the invited one — usually a long, uneven spread rather than a wave. That single number then drives everything: when the welcome service opens, how long the lounge has to hold people comfortably, and the latest minute at which dinner can be called without stranding half the guest list.
