What is walima planning at Anayat Events?
Walima planning is the production of the most formal evening of the week, judged largely on the food and on how quickly it reaches every table.

The formal evening
The most formal evening of the week, judged almost entirely on the food and how fast it reaches the table.
A walima is a hosting exercise. Guests arrive closer together, sit longer, and remember two things: whether the room felt considered, and whether the food arrived hot.

The experience
We design walimas around service flow first — table geometry, aisle widths, kitchen distance, plate counts — and let the decor follow that logic. Draped ceilings, chandeliers, low centrepieces that people can actually see across.
Our service standard is every table served within eight minutes of the first plate leaving the pass. That number drives the crew count, not the other way round.
Signature highlights
01
Seating geometry planned against service routes, sightlines and family protocol.
02
Layered fabric ceilings and chandelier placement that flatter photography without darkening the room.
03
A composed menu with a tasting session, sized precisely to your guest count.
04
Uniformed service staff at a ratio that gets every table served together.

“Eight hundred guests and every table was served within minutes of each other. My father still talks about that more than the decor.”

How walima planning is planned
01
One conversation, no forms. We listen for the evening you keep describing.
02
A written direction: palette, materials, light, the emotional arc of the night.
03
Elevations, floral schedules and a lighting plot — issued, not improvised.
04
A rehearsed run of show, held by the planner who read your first message.
05
The part you are allowed to forget about entirely.
We staff to guest count and menu complexity, typically one server per twelve to fifteen seated guests for a plated service.
Yes. A full tasting for up to six family members is included on walima catering above our minimum guest count.
Both, and we prefer to. Stage and dining designed separately is the most common reason a walima room feels disjointed.

Hosts holding a seated reception where guests arrive close together and stay for the full service.
We set the table architecture and service routes before the decor, design the ceiling and drape to make a large room feel held, and size the service brigade to the guest count so no table is served late.
